Mark and Michelle

February 11, 2002.

  • Michelle and I did see Brotherhood Of The Wolf on the 4th (Monday); excellent, EXCELLENT movie. It was everything I thought it was going to be...and more. The movie covers so many genres (foreign, horror, martial arts, etc.) and does it well. Highly recommended. (Note that the movie is subtitled as it is originally in French.)
  • Played basketball again, did so on Monday before the spousal unit and I went to see the movie. My basketball skills are showing signs of improvement as I won another game of 21. Very happy about that.
  • Michelle and I are helping her mom and dad for their big move out west. They will be showing the house in about two weeks.
  • ...and that Super Bowl...wasn't that a great game! I was a happy Patriots fan for a day. And don't beleive all that talk from the whiners--Cap'n Chunky Soup and Marshall Faulk, who post-game showed his lack of class--the better team won. The Rams need to admit they had the (expletive) knocked out of them.

Thats all for now. Only about six more months before the NFL season kicks off again...until then, pseudo-sports basketball and baseball will need to feed my sports hunger. Take care everyone and don't forget to email me.

  • I am officially a graduate as I have received my Associates Of Arts degree from Okaloosa-Walton Community College! I feels good, I tell ya...
  • Saw Lord Of The Rings yet again, and thuroughly enjoyed it the second time around. I am hoping to see it one more time before it leaves threaters (which may be a while).
  • Speaking of movies, Brotherhood Of Tne Wolf is rumored to be playing everywhere this coming weekend. I hope this is true as I am really looking forward to the movie.
  • Played a little bit of basketball on Monday. I showed what little game I had in winning a game of 21. Not too shabby in my book. It was fun...the exercise sure felt good. Hope to do this (and/or football) on a semi-regular basis.
  • The weather has been on and off; clear and sunny one day, foggy/misty (and a little rain) the next. The temperature is a constant, floating around 70 degrees. Too warm for this early in the year.

Nothing else to report. Fairly uneventful, but pleasantly so. Take care everyone and don't forget to email me.

  • We saw Black Hawk Down; excellent movie. More brutal than Saving Private Ryan (although not as gory). The movie has an authenitc feel that pulls you in. I highly recommend it.
  • Plan to see Lord Of The Rings again later today. We have seen it once before, but I really didin't enjoy it as much as I probably could (or should) have. Now that I know considerably more about the story I am looking forward to the second viewing.
  • That Packer-Rams game was a (expletive deleted) joke. Six INTs for Fav-re, although they weren't all his fault. Packer D did their job, but the receivers could not hold on to the ball. There is talk of revamping the wide receiver position which would not hurt my feeling in the least.
  • My new e-mail account is up and functioning. Effective immediately majshark@cox.net is the new address. I will no longer be accepting mail at my old account.

That is all for now. I hope all is well with everyone.

January 18, 2002. My first attempt to keep this page up-to-date with what is happening with us. Right now...not a whole lot is happening. Michelle and I are doing very well...even work has been kind as of late! In light of my recent graduation (about time, really) I will be walking in March. Michelle and I should be receiving new e-mail addresses soon; mine will be majshark@cox.net and Michelles (in all likelyhood) will be ChellaRusch@cox.net; these new addresses haven't taken effect just yet, although they already should have, but we'll keep everyone posted. Michelle, the Admiral (that would be me) and Ma and Pa Barrett will see Black Hawk Down later today. Very disappointed that Brotherhood Of The Wolf is not playing anywhere around here (Atlanta is the closest)...this is the movie to see IMHO. I can now kick a field goal; this makes me happy to no end (at about 30 yards to boot, every pun intended). Boomer (canine unit--OOPS, excuse me--canine American) and Fuzzy (scheming feline unit) are doing well when they are not driving us mad. Packers set to play the Rams this weekend...hoping for the best on that one (still gotta like Favre, though...you just go to!). Speaking of football I will end this on a great joke...how do you keep a bear out of your front yard? Put goal posts up. What a great joke. I have a better one, but tis better to not post anything remotely obscene on here as the kind webhosters might pull it...and that's a bad thing. If you want to send me some e-mail, click here. Otherwise, enjoy and be safe.

Oh yeah, don't forget to bookmark this page as I plan to update on a semi-regular basis.

Now for the stuff that has been here for a while.

This is our page with pictures of our house and the cat. These pictures were taken with a digital camera we just purchased. The pics are a little grainy (the pics really don't do the house or the Fuzz justice), but hey, what do you expect from a $10 digital camera?

Our house, in the middle of our street.

    Same house, different angle.

    Our cat Fuzzy.

The page will be a bit more formal later; for now, I just wanted to get these pics up.

I can be contacted by clicking here.
